The learner will:

1. Understand the planning process used for modern sales that puts the customer at the heart of the plan.

1.1.  Describe an effective customer profiling process.

1.2.  Describe a successful customer journey.

1.3.  Explain sales funnel types.

1.4.  Explain the following in terms of a sales cycle (SPANCOP) and the benefits to the salesperson and business:
(a). Suspect; (b). Prospect. (c). Approach and analysis; (d). Negotiate;(e). Close;(f). Order; (g). Payment.

1.5.  Analyse own business operations in terms of SPANCOP as listed in 1.4.

1.6.  Identify the difference between ‘top five’ and ‘big five’ opportunities.

2. Understand how to grow their business and join up buying and selling

2.1.  Explain the importance of active customer feedback.

2.2.  Create a referral plan based on your existing customers.

2.3.  Explain the ‘repeat (feed model)’ process.

2.4.  Explain how the stages of the ‘repeat’ process maximises the lifetime value of a customer.

2.5.  Explain the purpose of, and how to grow, own professional online network.

2.6.  Evaluate two different online networking sites.

3. Understand how to implement modern sales techniques into own business setting

3.1. Explain the importance of planning for customer and/or sales meetings.

3.2.  Explain the difference between pre-call planning and post-call intelligence.

3.3.  Describe how social media plays an important role in the modern sales environment.

3.4.  Create a networking plan that supports the business goals and based on local marketplace research.

The Online Live Plan – Grow – Do training is delivered over 3, 3 hour sessions, walks the learner through the training and will focus on the specific needs of the business based on the pre-work that the users carry out on the Plan. Grow. Do. Modern Selling Assessment and any conversations which we have before the training commences.

If training is delivered in a live classroom setting the format will be 1 and a half days delivered with a group of mixed businesses.

Each learner receives a physical copy of the Plan. Grow. Do. guidebook which becomes their own sales plan and process.

From the 18 chapters we speak with the employer to discuss where the areas of focus are best suited. This ensures a more full and robust delivery for that business without discounting or removing any of the important content that the methodology provides.

The Online Live delivery is engaging and we invite the learners to ask questions, constantly apply the learning to their own situation and will have available the online training portal to further enhance the learning to ensure best practice is absorbed. The Online portal will also be made available to those attending Live in classroom.

We have found that this approach works because it doesn’t neglect any of the content but focusses more on the specific content that is important to the learner. The feedback you can see validates this opinion and is a real benefit of the training.
