Lifting and Rigging of Light Loads

This one-day Lifting and Rigging of Light Loads training course is aimed at those undertaking general lifting operations. The course is designed as a skills refresher for persons with lifting and lowering experience. The course content will provide practical skills and knowledge to safely undertake lifting operations. On completion of the course the delegate will have a understanding of best practice lifting, lowering and rigging techniques. Course Objectives: Legislation and regulations Selection/Inspection of lifting equipment and accessories Safe systems of work Practical rigging and lifting of loads (including network antennas, transmitters and receivers) Selection of anchor points Static lines Knot selection/advantages and disadvantages Complex pully and lifting systems Communications strategies Delegates must be over 18 yrs, and physically fit, have lifting and rigging experience and certified to work at height.
