Initial Tower Climber and Rescue
The Initial Tower Climber and Rescue course is designed for first-time climbers. The training covers climbing on ladders, open structures and the use of fall arrest systems and rescue of a fellow climber, suspended by a fall arrest lanyard. Course objectives: Health and safety legislation PPE selection, usage, maintenance and pre-use inspection Fall arrest / work positioning lanyards Use of fixed fall arrest systems Rescue plans and rescue techniques Risk assessment and method statements Suspension syncope Rope craft Delivery is classroom based theory and practical sessions with scenario-based activities and final end assessment. Delegates must be over 18 yrs, physically fit and able to work at height. Completion of a medical declaration is required.
